Postoperative Nausea and Vomiting (PONV) is one of the complications that often occurs in patients after undergoing surgery. This condition can cause discomfort, anxiety, and slow down the recovery process. This study aims to examine the effectiveness of deep breathing relaxation therapy in reducing the incidence of PONV in post-anesthesia patients. The method used in this community service involved 20 patients who experienced PONV with moderate to severe severity. Patients were given deep breathing relaxation therapy intervention for two postoperative sessions, each for 15–20 minutes. The results showed that there was a significant decrease in the intensity of nausea and vomiting, where the average PONV score before the intervention was 6.5 and decreased to 3.2 after therapy. Deep breathing relaxation therapy has been shown to be an effective non-pharmacological intervention in reducing the incidence of PONV and providing additional benefits in the form of increased comfort and relaxation for patients. Therefore, this method can be applied as part of postoperative care to improve the quality of patient recovery
