Abstract

Nausea and vomiting after Cesarean Section (CS) surgery are common complications that can affect patient comfort and recovery. The contributing factors include spinal anesthesia side effects, hormonal changes, and limited mobility. Effective preventive measures can enhance patient comfort and accelerate recovery. This study aims to evaluate the effectiveness of education and non-pharmacological interventions in reducing post-CS nausea and vomiting. The method used is a pre-test and post-test design with an intervention consisting of patient and family education on preventive techniques such as deep breathing exercises, proper sleeping positions, and adequate fluid intake. The results show that education and non-pharmacological interventions significantly reduce post-CS nausea and vomiting. Therefore, this strategy is recommended as part of standard post-operative care to improve patient recovery quality.
