Abstract

In addition to causing a health emergency, the Covid-19 outbreak also has an impact on psychology. This is because people feel worried about their safety so they become more alert and suspicious. Excessive anxiety can be categorized as a mental disorder. The Qur'an contains various components that are needed by mankind as a guide to achieving well-being in this world and the hereafter. Reading the Qur'an and dhikr every day can reduce a person's anxiety levels and provide continuous calm which turns out to be a very effective therapy for someone in dealing with life stressors. This study tries to prove that the Qur'an and dhikr can be a strategy to overcome anxiety during Covid-19. This study uses a literature review research design with the PRISMA analysis technique. There are 13 articles analyzed in this study. The results of the study show that providing therapy using the Qur'an and dhikr provides calm, happiness, and a sense of security for someone who can reduce anxiety levels due to Covid-19. The results of this study are expected to be a reference for practitioners, researchers, and policy makers to use Islamic therapy approaches and other religious spiritual approaches according to the needs of each country facing the pandemic, especially in Indonesia, Malaysia, and Russia.
