One of the important subjects in school that needs to be assessed is science. Without science, students cannot observe and understand phenomena on earth. However, the results of international studies such as Trends International in Mathematics and Science (TIMSS), the science achievement of students in Indonesia is lower than students from other countries. Furthermore, science is one of the important educations for children because it is included in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics) Education. From several studies, students' attitudes and self-efficacy (beliefs about their abilities and skills) were found to be dominant predictors of student achievement, including science achievement. However, most studies analyze data with conventional regression analysis. If the analysis is done with a structural equation model, then the results can be considered carefully. This study will analyze the science achievement of Indonesian students, and the predictors are self-efficacy, student attitudes towards science, schools, and teachers. Five hundred and seventy-six student data will be analyzed by path analysis to answer the research questions. The results found that students' attitudes and self-efficacy have a significant direct role in determining student achievement in science subjects. More specifically, attitudes towards science have the most significant impact on science achievement, this influence is greater than the influence of self-efficacy. However, what is interesting is that the pattern of influence of each predictor has a different impact on science achievement. The practical aspects of the results of this study will be discussed in the discussion section.
